About me

With over 30 years in the corporate world, I bring firsthand experience in leading high-performing teams and shaping award-winning places to work across my diverse and dynamic career.

I began my journey as an accountant, spending 17 years in finance roles before following my passion into human resources.  As People & Culture Director at Lion NZ, and later leading some of their businesses, I helped cultivate a culture ranked in the top decile globally, winning multiple awards for our work.

I have also held senior leadership roles at Stuff as People & Culture Director, and at Fonterra where I supported global diversity and inclusion strategies and initiatives.

I’m an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation, a Chartered Accountant, and a Workplace Inclusion Accredited Professional.  Over the decades, I’ve coached and mentored hundreds of leaders and helped many teams to thrive across a range of industries.

I understand just how demanding leadership can be.  Throughout my career, I was often placed in high-pressure roles that left me overwhelmed and exhausted – until I developed and refined the leadership skills that enabled both me and my teams to truly thrive.

I’ve made two major career shifts – from accounting to human resources, and then into business leadership – facing challenges like redundancies and balancing work with parenting.  Through it all, I stayed true to my purpose which has led me to the joy of doing work I’m passionate about.

And I’m privileged to have worked in organisations where I felt valued and respected, and sadly in some where I didn’t.  But the great workplaces I’ve been part have contributed significantly to my life and feature in many of my best memories.

Those experiences fuel my passion for helping leaders to be at their best and creating workplaces where people feel empowered and inspired.
